School Profile

Wyndham Central College is in the formative years of establishing the new and vibrant culture. It is a large government single campus secondary college located in the heart of the Wyndham region just a short drive of 30 mins from the heart of Melbourne. Located in Market Rd extension It has a spectacular vista across parklands.

The spacious grounds and the whole school master plan for the rebuild/remodernisation are coming to the final stages of completion after 4 years of planning and building. $14m was allocated in the 2012 State Budget with a further significant contribution (nearly $2m) from DEEWR for Trade Training facilities in electro technology.

The master plan has delivered a Yr. 7 Centre, Yr. 8-9 Centre and Later Years Centre to accommodate the different priorities of the new innovative and challenging education programs, A key showpiece is the “Science/ Stemnet” Centre with outstanding facilities for both our secondary students and local network primary students along with a new Gymnasium/ Sports Centre and Theatre with a seating capacity of 180.

Complementing the whole school rebuild/remodernisation is the active/passive environmental landscaping plan for the school grounds. Upon completion the College has the capacity to accommodate 1100 students.
